Irony of Republicans Calling Democrats Communists
I mentioned in a previous TheCommonHeart blog how multiple issues have contributed to slow down the momentum that United States Congress Democratic candidates had heading into the summer months when it comes to the midterm elections.
Doing their part to try to derail Democratic momentum, President Donald Trump and MAGA world are using their megaphone nonstop to brand social democratic candidates as communists and far-left candidates as extreme.
When President Trump and MAGA get on a roll with their divisive attacks on social democrat candidates, they take it a step further by branding all Democrats as communists by association.
With all due respect, I find something quite ironic when it comes to Republicans branding social democratic candidates as communists. I don’t recall any of the social democratic candidates who won their primaries saying they got love letters from North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
I don’t recall countless instances where social democratic candidate primary winners cozied up to Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling Putin smart, savvy and a friend.
I don’t recall social democratic candidate primary winners claiming a strong personal rapport with Chinese President Xi Jinping, calling him a great leader. When it comes to Xi Jinping, I don't recall social democratic primary winners saying we love each other or showing praise and admiration for Xi Jinping’s absolute control over China.
Just saying...
